Where to look for spam information?

This is a list of site where you can look for reliable information about spam and scam sites. And how to file a complaint about a scam. Most of these are government sites so you can be pretty sure about the reliability.

1. www.fraud.org : This site is run by National Consumer League. This site gives consumers advice and information they need which help them to avoid investing in scam site.

2. www.onguardonline.gov : Provides tips to prevent internet fraud, secure computer and prevent theft of information from your computer. This site contain games and videos to teach people how to escape from scams.

3. Federal trade commission : Another site to provide information to consumers about all investment schemes, home job schemes and theft of information.

4. Scambusters.org : This is a non government public service website where you will get independent, trustworthy information about scams.

5. Scam alert sites list : Before investing in any site check against this list to know whether it is a confirmed scam site or not. This site also describes common patterns used by the scam sites.

6. FBI Fraud Schemes list : This page contain detailed analysis of different fraud schemes and tips to avoid them.

7. Looks too good to be true : This is an independent site. The link will take you to the quiz page where you can learn to play safe by answering questions.
